Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Adathlete is a product of ADATHLETE PRIVATE LIMITED, a company incorporated in India with its registered office at I2-902, Meadows, Near Vaishnodevi Temple, Khodiyar, Daskroi, Ahmedabad – 382421, Gujarat, India. For any privacy question you can reach us at support@adathlete.in.

We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account & profile. Name, email, phone number, role (athlete or coach), gender, date of birth, and a profile photo if you add one. Athletes may add sport, position, level, height and weight; coaches may add specialisation, experience and academy details.
• Training content. The data you create in the app — training logs, exercises and sets, personal records, injuries, tests, tournaments, programs, batches and feedback.
• Health & fitness data. With your explicit permission, we read fitness and health signals from Apple Health or Google Fit — such as steps, active and resting energy, heart rate and variability, sleep, workouts and related measurements — to calculate recovery and training-load insights. You control this connection and can turn it off at any time in your device and app settings.
• Location. If you use location features during onboarding (for example to set your academy or city), we process the location you provide. We do not track your location in the background.
• Device & usage. Device type and identifiers, app version, push notification tokens, and basic diagnostics needed to run the service and keep it secure.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• provide the core service — logging, growth tracking, recovery scores, records, scoreboards and coaching tools;
• calculate insights such as your recovery score and training load from the health data you connect;
• connect athletes and coaches within batches you choose to join;
• send you service messages and, where you've opted in, product or promotional updates;
• keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health data for advertising.

4. Our basis for processing

We process your information to perform our contract with you (to provide the app), on the basis of your consent (for health data, notifications and marketing), to meet legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in operating and improving Adathlete. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

5. Health & fitness data

Health and fitness data is sensitive, and we treat it that way. We only read the health data you explicitly grant, only to power features you use (like your recovery score), and we never share it with other users or third parties for advertising. Apple Health and Google Fit data is handled in line with their platform requirements. You can revoke access at any time from your device's health settings or by disconnecting in the app, and you can ask us to delete previously synced data.

6. Children & young athletes

Many athletes who train in coached batches are under 18. Where an athlete is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must provide verifiable consent and is responsible for the account and for the athlete's use of the app. We collect only the information needed to provide the service to that athlete, apply extra care to minors' and health data, and will act on a parent's or guardian's request to access, correct or delete their child's data. If you believe a child has used Adathlete without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take prompt action.

7. How we share information

We share information only in these limited ways:

• With your coach or batch. If you join a batch, the coach can see the training, growth, recovery and related data needed to coach you. You choose which batches to join.
• Service providers. Trusted vendors who host and operate the service on our behalf — for example cloud hosting, Google Firebase (push notifications and crash/analytics), and sign-in providers (Google, Apple). They may process data only on our instructions.
• Legal. Where required by law, regulation or valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety and the integrity of the service.

8. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to meet legal, tax or security obligations.

9. Your rights & choices

Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

• access and correct your personal information from within the app;
• withdraw consent for health data, notifications or marketing;
• request deletion of your account and data;
• nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of incapacity or death;
• raise a grievance with us and, if unresolved, with the relevant authority.

To exercise any of these, email support@adathlete.in from the address on your account.

10. Security

We use technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit, access controls and secure infrastructure — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to keep your data safe and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and the law evolve. When we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
